WASHINGTON HIGH SCHOOL

Step back in time at the old Washington High School in historic Washington, Louisiana with over 40,000 square feet of quality antique shopping at the Old Schoolhouse Antique Mall. Your unique shopping adventure begins in the old schoolhouse.

Built in 1938, shop over 25 rooms featuring primitives, furniture, Victorian accessories, china, porcelain, sterling silver, tools, architectural items, depression glass, dolls, jewelry, books and many other great collections of the past.

The school closed in 1982, and housed both a high school and elementary classrooms during its existance.  In 1985 instead of being condemended, the beautiful art deco schoolhouse was turned into an antique mall.

WASHINGTON HIGH GYMNASIUM

Your antiquing journey continues with a step into the Old Schoolhouse Gym brimming with all sorts of collectibles in every price range. The Gym, built in the 1950’s, also originally housed the home economics department and several classrooms.

For a break, enjoy a home cooked meal, homemade desserts, coffee or a cold soda in The Old School Café, a fifties style café located at the entrance of the gym.

LE MAISON DE BOUE

Take a stroll back in time through Le Maison De Boue, an authentic 1830’s Louisiana mudhouse featuring some of the South’s finest antiques. This original mudhouse was moved from New Roads, Louisiana and is one of the few surviving mudhouses left in the state.
